Why Nairobi loves getting water from an ATM

You can get cash, drinks, food, gadgets and many other useful items from automated machines, but would you ever think of withdrawing water from an ATM?

Access to safe, consumable water is a challenge for communities across the developing world.

Enter the water ATM, a collaboration between a Danish firm and the Nairobi Water and Sewerage company, which guarantees people access to safe drinking water for a significantly lower price than could be otherwise achieved.

This ATM is just another technology making the world better, and a reminder that private enterprise can deliver where government has failed.
